Care is to Make Efforts !!!!!!!

Hmm… How do I make her watch a movie? Ayan’s mind was racing at the thought.

Naina always comes up with a totally different perspective. After a lot of deliberation, he thought of something unusual to pass of the entire movie to her in "triggers".

He dialed her after a couple of days.

“Hey Naina, just get ready your first wish to see a movie on this Saturday” Ayan told her excitedly.

“Oh, it's a surprise, that you remembered “ Naina chided him.

“I will pick you up from your office”  said Ayan.

“Sure, I will wait for you. Better be on time if we are to watch the full movie “ she laughed.

Saturday . Ayan got ready before time and reached Naina’s office. He was determined that everything should be as he decided, even reaching on time. Naina was pleasantly surprised though she didn’t mention it.  As they drove in the Uber, they chatted happily.

Am really stumped by your this wish Naina, I kind of expected you to say “ I wish I could get my vision “               

“Ayan, no point in wishing which can't happen, right? Moreover, I would find it difficult to say Goodbye then"

Hey Naina, why do say that?  Ayan quizzed.

Naina cut his question and continued "People such as myself don't have any wishes different to others” .Her smile was captivating as she said this

As they entered the movie hall, the lights had gone off. Ayan held her hand as he was trying to make her way comfortable, he just tripped on the steps”

You are afraid of the  dark." She laughed as she spoke. "Good to know someone is  scared of more things than I was.”

Ayan loved to handle tough tasks and make it happen, but this for him was a different ball game altogether, which made him excited as well as tense to some extent.

As the movie began, Ayan started to describe the movie scene on the scene. Hey Naina, we are gonna watch La La Land, it’s a lovely musical. It's about a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles

Ayan could spurt out info on each character-  Ayan brought out all the subtle details. Seb a lonely guy in LA, a conceited musical guy who has just spent his last penny trying and failing to open a jazz club in the city. How he meets Mia, stuck behind her car in this same traffic jam, while she looks through her pages for an audition she’s got later in the day, how he pulls out to overtake with much male aggression; she gives him a glare and how they are destined to meet again.

Naina listened to Ayan with rapt attention as he rattled off situations in the movie just before the actual scene so that she can actually visualize it and then relate to it as she heard it on screen  - tension, anticipation, joy, disappointment!

A sequence in which Mia and Sebastian hold hands at the cinema, romantic tension, while a pivotal conversation in Sebastian’s apartment – Ayan remembered every scene back to back.

The only time they were silent was when  an extravagant big finish in the style of Paris’s dream ballet

End of the movie, they were unsure if the ending was a sad or happy one but, either way, there was a bit of tear in eyes, a song in the heart.

As they left the hall and sat in cafeteria, Ayan was eager to know Naina’s reaction

So, did I manage to make you watch a movie?

Tell me Ayan, how did you know each scene of the movie so perfectly?

Feeling proud that she had noticed, Ayan said “  I watched this movie 5 times so that I can remember each scene and describe it to you “. But what I want to know is did you watch the movie the way you wanted to?

Naina was calm as she said “  More than the movie, I watched you Ayan. The effort that u took to make it happen, the care you showed thru out, the time you spent just to ensure that this wish of mine is done with – I watched that.  You were totally into it- your projects, the time that u spent to make my wish come true – didn’t matter, isn’t it? And that made me happier. I will remember this day because of you Ayan.

Ayan was stumped at her reaction. He had only focussed on the way he could do it and how he could manage it. The way Naina SAW this whole thing was a new perspective to his thinking!

Hey, Naina ... Trust me I spent days thinking how to make this wish of yours possible, but you beat me to it girl. you won!

No Ayan, your efforts made me happy. You have won even before the game began.Take a bow, dude.

Ayan smiled and said "Honestly, 3 hrs of watching a movie in a  Cineplex is so boring,  it's far more interesting to see real places ... Realizing his folly as he finished the line.

As if on a cue, Naina said. Hey that brings to my second wish. Take me to your favorite place and walk me thru the place.

That's a deal, said Ayan excitedly.

There is none so blind as the one who does not want to see!
