Smiles Bring Happiness

The wait ends ... Ayan deferred his 2  client meetings just to be with Naina, somehow he kinda liked the time spent with her and the fun repertoire they had.

Despite his best attempts, he reached the place a good thirty minutes behind of schedule.

Oh ! so Naina's taken up a project at this Orphanage, he was not at all amused!

He walked in and asked for Naina the official directed him towards the music room. As he walked towards it, he could hear Naina's singing and children singing along.  He stood at the entrance and watched her. Wow! She just seemed sexier. She wore a red dress with a Santa cap to match. Her pearl necklace added charm to her face, her hair up in a bun with a couple of stray strands falling on her face.

As the song ended, children rallied around her as she spoke to them.

There's one thing common among these children which Ayan noticed  - a big bright smile.

"Hey Naina, Am sorry am late. But just in time to hear your song. Imagined that I was at a concert !"

"Hi, thanks for coming and imagining " replied Naina.

Ayan:  I am good with imagination. I can't help it.

Naina: Great. Thanks for making time from your busy schedule and coming here.

Ayan:  Anything to met you, girl. But tell me, why did you ask me to meet you here. we could have met at any other place, coffee shop or a mall. I could have finished a couple of my business calls too there.

Is the sole focus in your life is to set goals, achieve them, be successful and make money?  Naina asked

Hey, Naina, you tell me are you happy with your job at Make A Wish Foundation(MAWF)?  I don't know how much you earn I can see that you are working with an NGO" asked Ayan

Come on  It's, now are you in a mood for a debate?  It's an individual choice isn't it?

I had told you last time that money is just one piece of a puzzle. being happy need not always have the money factor.

Well, for me feeling the joy of these children makes me happy. I cannot see them, but you definitely can see the happiness in them can't you? that's exactly the reason I called you to this place.

Small little pleasures of life make me happy  To me, making a  lavish living is starting to take a back seat to having a life.   Naina voice was calm.

I think individually acts of ours have different outcomes but the end of the day each one must do what seems right. Money is surely important but then TIME is the most precious gift ...

I come here to spend my TIME with these children, It makes ME happy.

Now you will say how selfish, she smiled.

Ayan wondered " She can't even see the joy and happiness on these small little faces when they were singing along with her, yet she seems so content. And me with a vision, couldn't see it till she mentioned it.

As she spent some time with the children, Ayan fooled around and played football with the kids. He seemed to enjoy that unadulterated attention and the happiness. As they walked out, as if on instinct Ayan held her hand. She was the softest thing that he'd ever touched.

Sometimes you know that you have been touched by an Angel

As if on a cue he asked her " Naina, you work in an MAWF which tries to fulfill people's wishes. Let me ask you " Don't you have wishes for yourself ?" I want to know so that I can at least make an attempt at it.

Naina burst out laughing and said " why Ayan, you want to play Santa to me?

Ayan: Am not kidding, I was genuinely asking

Naina smiled and replied: Of course, I do have wishes like everyone else. I want to WATCH a movie? I have heard a movie many times Can you help me watch it?

Ayan was amazed at her wish and said " Yes, sure. will call you and fix up the movie date & tickets"

As he rode back home, Ayan thoughts wandered ...." how do I make her watch a movie!
